The documentary had its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, earning praise for its bold new perspective.

Breaking the Silence
For the first time, many of the original “guards” and “prisoners” speak on camera, revealing untold truths, inconsistencies, and hidden layers that call into question Dr. Philip Zimbardo’s long-held account. This rare and emotional reunion takes place on a replica film set of the original “prison,” where participants confront their past and attempt to find closure.
In one of his final interviews before his passing, Dr. Zimbardo, joined by his wife Dr. Christina Maslach, reflects on his motivations, childhood, and the legacy of the experiment that turned into a global media sensation and forever shaped the field of psychology.
