Urban Lifestyle is a dynamic online platform and digital magazine that showcases modern South African life, creativity, culture, and resilience. We spotlight music, fashion, art, innovation, entertainment, street culture, lifestyle trends, and the voices shaping tomorrow’s cities today.

SUBMISSION CRITERIA

To be considered for feature or publication on Urban Lifestyle:

  1. Relevance: Content must align with urban culture, South African creativity, or global trends through a local lens.
  2. Originality: Submissions must be original and not published elsewhere unless clearly stated.
  3. Quality: High-resolution images, clear audio (if applicable), and well-written content are essential.
  4. Respect: Content should not be discriminatory, hateful, or inappropriate.
  5. Credits: All contributors (photographers, stylists, writers, artists, etc.) must be credited.
  6. Timeliness: Time-sensitive content (event coverage, new releases) must be submitted at least 3 days prior to the event/release date.

Format:

  • Text: Word or Google Doc format (max 1000 words unless otherwise agreed).
  • Images: High-res JPG/PNG (minimum 1200px wide). Attach separately or via link (WeTransfer, Google Drive).
  • Videos: YouTube or Vimeo links, or MP4 files via WeTransfer.

Include the following:

  • Title
  • Short Description (max 60 words)
  • Main Content
  • Author Bio (40–60 words)
  • Social Media Handles
  • Photo/Video Credits (if applicable)

RESPONSE TIME

We aim to respond to all submissions within 5–7 working days. If accepted, we’ll confirm scheduling and may request additional materials.

Urban Lifestyle reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, length, and tone. Contributors will be informed of any major changes before publication.
