Some albums arrive, make noise and move on. Others settle into people’s lives. Langa Mavuso’s Therapy: The Other Side appears to have become the latter.
After reaching millions of streams, the South African singer-songwriter is returning to the project with Therapy: The Other Side (Deluxe), an expanded edition that turns a deeply personal body of work into an ongoing conversation with the people who connected with it.
The deluxe album arrives on 16 October 2026, bringing new tracks and collaborations while keeping the emotional honesty that defined the original project.

From Self-Reflection to Shared Stories
When Therapy: The Other Side first emerged, its world was intensely personal.
Mavuso used the album to explore different versions of himself — the lost version, the seeker, the healer and the believer — while unpacking experiences around loss, love, identity, faith and healing.
But once the music left the studio, those themes stopped belonging exclusively to him.
Listeners found their own experiences inside the songs. The album became a soundtrack for personal moments, relationships, reflection and everything in between.
That journey from artist’s diary to audience’s lived experience is arguably what makes the deluxe edition interesting.

A Deluxe Edition With a Different Energy
Rather than simply adding a few songs to an existing tracklist, Mavuso describes the deluxe as a chance to introduce new stories, collaborations and energy into the Therapy universe.
The first taste comes with I Choose You, released on 8 September 2026.
The timing also signals a shift. If the original album was largely about looking inward, the next chapter appears more interested in what happens after that introspection — choosing, connecting and moving forward.
For an artist whose work has consistently occupied the emotional space between soul, R&B and contemporary South African music, that evolution creates room for new voices without abandoning the project’s original identity.

Giving Back to the People Who Listened
At the heart of the deluxe project is Mavuso’s relationship with his audience.
Millions of streams are one measurement of an album’s reach, but the artist’s message suggests something more meaningful happened beyond the numbers: listeners carried the music with them.
The deluxe becomes a response to that connection.
It’s Mavuso saying that the journey did not end when the original album was released. Instead, the audience helped give Therapy: The Other Side a life beyond its creator — and now he’s opening the door for another chapter.
With I Choose You already setting the tone and the full deluxe edition scheduled for October, Mavuso is inviting listeners back into the world of Therapy — this time with more stories, more collaborators and a fresh perspective on what comes next.
