Telemundo has officially announced the premiere of its highly anticipated new telenovela, The Woman In Charge, set to debut on 26 January 2026. Airing nightly at 10 PM on Telemundo (DStv Channel 118), the series promises nonstop suspense, shocking twists, and powerful performances, leading up to its season finale on 30 April 2026.
Headlining the cast are Fabiola Guajardo (Passion and Power) and Iván Arana (The Lord of the Skies), who take on their first leading roles on Telemundo. The series also features a special appearance by Cristián de la Fuente (Valiant Love), adding further star power to this explosive drama.
The Woman In Charge tells the gripping story of Gloria Guzmán, a woman who seems to have everything: a thriving career, a devoted family, and a beloved son. Her world shatters on what should be the happiest day of her life, when her wedding turns into a nightmare as hitmen storm the ceremony and murder her groom. In the aftermath, Gloria is left completely alone. Her family abandons her, the government confiscates her assets, the media condemns her, and her late husband’s enemies hunt her down, demanding repayment for criminal dealings she never knew existed.
Driven by her instinct to survive and protect her son, Gloria is pulled into the dark and dangerous world of money laundering. The stellar ensemble cast includes Mauricio Henao, Andrés Almeida, Azela Robinson, Verónica Merchant, José María Galeano, Jorge Luis Moreno, and Yany Prado. They are joined by renowned actors Pepe Gímez, Julieta Grajales, Sara Corrales, Uriel del Toro, Jesús Moré, Guillermo Quintanilla, Gary Centeno, Laura Vignatti, Sachi Tamashiro, and Dante Aguiar, delivering depth and intensity to the story.
