SA’s favourite celebrity-festive season TV special moves to Mzansi Wethu to close off the year

Season three of The Festive Get-Together in The Life Artois, hosted by Unathi Nkayi, proved to be a big hit with viewers on Mzansi Magic, and if you missed it, episodes 1 & 2 will be repeated on Mzansi Wethu (DSTV channel 163) on December 24th, 6pm and episodes 3 & 4 on December 31st, 6pm.

Featuring some of Mzansi’s top personalities, episodes include Ntsika Ngxanga, Luphindo and Buhlebendalo Mda from The Soil; sisters in comedy, Lesego ‘Coconut Kelz’ Tlhabi and Wendy Gumede; father-son duo Lucas Radebe and Primo Baloyi; and former Scandal actors turned YouTube stars, Hungani and Stephanie Ndlovu.

Presented by Stella Artois, The Festive Get-Together special put the spotlight on celebrity pairings who recount their journeys to success over a festive meal while sharing the challenges of getting together with those who matter most.

With their music rooted in traditional sounds, in episode one, The Soil reflect on their early days of founding the group in high school along with former member, Samthing Soweto; their individual projects over the years and then coming together last year for their upcoming album.

In episode two, friendship and sisterhood in comedy are the order of the day as Lesego Thlabi and Wendy Gumede take viewers on a lighthearted, funny, and witty conversation behind the scenes of their careers and how they make time for each other even in the most challenging of times.

Episode three features football legend, Lucas Radebe, and his TikTok superstar son, Primo Baloyi, as they talk about taking your own journey and making your own mark in the world, while the season finale, titled “Love Conquers All”, features actors, Stephanie and Hungani Ndlovu.  The Ndlovu’s – who met on the set of the telenovela, Scandal – talks about marriage, careers, family and, having just had a baby, how making time for each other is so important to keep the relationship fire burning bright.

“This season truly delivers in so many ways. Each episode has humour, warmth and poignancy in equal measure and showed that, while we each have our individual journey, love and family is everything and success means nothing without support and the joy shared,”.

In each episode, Unathi is also joined by a celebrity chef to create dishes for celebrity guests that invoke memories of love for their family & friends and included Chefs Nti, Bertus Basson, Neo Nontso and Zanele Van Zyl.

“The power of The Festive Get-Together in the Life Artois has proven to be more than just a meal and conversations: it speaks to a lifetime of connections and that the best present this Festive Season is truly being present. That’s what The Life Artois is all about,”.
