Mzansi Telenovela Update 23–27 February 2026
The drama intensifies across Genesis, Homecoming, and iThonga as secrets unravel and past mistakes return to haunt familiar faces. This week on Mzansi Magic and Wethu, long-standing tensions reach boiling point, families fracture under pressure, and some characters finally edge closer to peace — while others continue their pursuit of justice.
Here’s what to expect from 23–27 February 2026:
GENESIS – Mon–Fri @ 19:30
On Genesis, emotional stakes soar as a mother pleads with her son to walk away from a toxic bond before it destroys their family. A desperate cry for freedom sparks a risky negotiation that could change everything.
Ishmael (Buyile Mdladla) is forced to make a heartbreaking decision, while Bonko (Naymaps Maphalala) symbolically frees a “little bird” from the grip of evil — a move that could have far-reaching consequences.
Meanwhile, Nokuthula (Siyasanga Papu) takes her fight for her son to the public arena, setting social media and the community ablaze. A promise of marriage ignites a fierce family feud, and Mpumi (Karabelo Ramabodu) begins to question everything she once believed about love and loyalty.
HOMECOMING – Mon–Wed @ 18:30
On Homecoming, Zethu (Six Nyamane) grapples with feelings of failure at the hospital, while grief-stricken Khathazile (Khombi Phetla) confronts the man she believes is responsible for her niece’s death.
Nomalanga (Nozipho Ndlovu) carefully crafts a scheme to position herself as the village’s most desirable young woman. But her web of manipulation tightens around those closest to her.
Matron Khathazile takes her grief public, turning private pain into a powerful statement. At the same time, Shwabi (Jabulani Masilela) faces intense scrutiny as Nomalanga’s lies threaten to spiral out of control.
ITHONGA – Mon–Fri @ 20:30 (Season Finale Week)
The season finale of iThonga delivers explosive drama. The Ntanzi family proves why they’ve maintained their legacy for so long, even as Phinda’s (Nkanyiso Mchunu) conscience begins to weigh heavily on him.
Sanele (Bonko Khoza) struggles with a devastating failure that fractures the family — until an unexpected phone call reignites hope. Zama (Nelisiswe Sibiya) carries the unbearable burden of loss, while Sanele races against time to save the woman he loves. Every lead brings him closer to a dangerous and potentially deadly confrontation.
As the dust settles, peace is restored, new beginnings emerge for the Dladla and Magwaza families, and two souls finally unite in a moment that promises healing and renewal.
INIMBA – Season 2 Premieres 2 March
Inimba is currently on a short production break, but fans won’t have to wait long. Season 2 officially premieres on 2 March.
