South African producer and DJ Thakzin has finally unveiled his long-awaited debut album, Gods Window, Pt. 1 — an expansive Afro-house odyssey celebrating Africa, unity, and the power of musical collaboration. Released on 26 September 2025, the 18-track project stands as a deeply personal reflection of Thakzin’s roots in Ivory Park, Johannesburg, and his mission to connect the world through rhythm and spirit.

“From the streets of Ivory Park to the world, my journey has always been about more than sound. This music is togetherness. It’s community. It’s the bridge between past, present, and future.”

Thakzin shared on Instagram ahead of the release

The album features a stellar lineup of collaborators, including MÖRDA, Sun-El Musician, Mas Musiq, Sykes, SUFFOCATE SA, Baby S.O.N, Thandazo, and Mhaw Keys — each adding their unique energy to Thakzin’s visionary soundscape. From the uplifting opener Makukhanye (The Way In) to the soulful Love & Pride and the emotionally charged The Road is Long, every track flows as part of a greater narrative of growth, love, and cultural pride.

“Gods Window, Pt. 1 is honesty in music. Pure intention. When you hear it, it’s as raw and vulnerable as it was meant to be — guided only by what you feel and what you hear.”

Thakzin posted after the release

With Gods Window, Pt. 1, Thakzin doesn’t just deliver an album — he opens a spiritual and sonic vista into the soul of Africa.
