DJ KingMaster SA Drops Soulful Afro House Single I Do Believe

Durban Producer DJ KingMaster SA Releases New Single I Do Believe, Inspired by Sea Black’s Story of Survival

South African DJ and producer DJ KingMaster SA (real name Mlondolozi Nkululeko Msomi) returns with a powerful new single, I Do Believe — a soulful Afro House and Amapiano-infused track inspired by survival, ancestral protection, and the unbreakable will to live.

Written and performed by Durban-based vocalist and lyricist Sea Black (Sphesihle Nene), the track is rooted in a true story. I Do Believe recounts Sea Black’s harrowing near-death encounters with a local gang over deeply personal disputes. Having survived multiple life-threatening attacks, Sea Black found clarity and strength through his ancestral connection, which inspired the track’s central message: survival is no coincidence.

The single came together organically in KwaMashu during an early morning studio session.

“It was a Sunday around 4 AM when a melody came to me. I laid down the piano chords and rhythm, then went back to sleep. When I woke up, I finished the beat. That same day, Sea Black walked into the studio, heard the track, and without hesitation began writing and recording. It all happened in flow — nothing forced.”

With a distinct sound that fuses Afro House, Amapiano, jazz, and traditional Zulu rhythms, DJ KingMaster SA is celebrated for his mellow basslines, smooth piano melodies, and mid-tempo grooves (100–120 BPM). His music leans into instrumental storytelling, often allowing melodies to speak louder than lyrics.

I Do Believe marks DJ KingMaster SA’s first solo release since 2022, when he collaborated with Netherlands-based vocalist Sariah Mansoer. In the years since, he has appeared on several collaborations, including The Way with Moroccan artist Lou Elise and a joint project with Mzee Vocalist.

“I want to create music that connects across borders, music that speaks to people from all walks of life. This track is a celebration of spiritual resilience — of knowing you’re protected even in your darkest hour.”
