Berlin-based label Best Works proudly unveils the first remix package for Keep On by Louis Baker, a deeply moving soul anthem from one of New Zealand’s most distinctive voices. This reimagining features standout contributions from label co-founder Andre Lodemann, Aotearoa-born DJ Philippa, and Canadian house veteran Hollis P. Monroe, each bringing their unique sonic palette to the table.
A Soulful Spark at Tempodrom
The remix journey began in 2024 when Best Works’ Daniel W. Best witnessed Baker’s live performance opening for Fat Freddy’s Drop at the iconic Tempodrom in Berlin. Struck by the emotional resonance of Keep On, Best envisioned a remix project that could elevate the song’s message of perseverance while introducing it to new dancefloor audiences.
His label partner Andre Lodemann, known for his deep and emotive house style, was equally taken with the original and delivered a powerful remix that blends organic soul with electronic textures. Joining the lineup is DJ Philippa, who channels her funk-infused sensibility into a groovy interpretation, while Hollis P. Monroe adds his signature deep house touch with atmospheric layers and subtle tension.
