Starseed XO Shines Bright on Debut EP “So Beautiful” via Groove On Recordings
South African deep house artist Starseed XO has officially launched his career into the spotlight with the release of his debut EP, So Beautiful, under Groove On Recordings. The EP is a deeply personal, genre-blending body of work that showcases not only his unique musical voice, but also his resilience, passion, and vision as a producer.

Although the title track, “So Beautiful,” was pulled from the release due to copyright issues, its essence still defines the project.
“So Beautiful just made sense to me as a description of the EP and my journey. It’s a beautiful journey.”
Starseed XO shares
A Tracklist Full of Emotion and Intent
1. Beautiful Disaster
The project opens with “Beautiful Disaster,” a funky disco-infused deep house track that was crafted to grab the attention of Groove On Recording’s Exte C, pushing for the realization of an EP deal.
“I needed him to see how serious I was about releasing under Groove On,”.
Starseed says
It worked—and the song now stands as a testament to creative persistence.
2. Dimo (feat. Tyron SA & Exte C)
“Dimo” carries a layered origin story. Originally produced by his brother back in 2022, the song was a standout production that Starseed decided to build on.
“He did the drums, chords, and a dope melody. I hopped on, added vocals—and it was a banger,”.
he explains
The track made its way to Exte C as an MP3, but due to lost project files, they had to recreate it.
“It wasn’t a complicated song, so we remade it.”
3. Yelil
Starseed discovered the inspiration for “Yelil” while scrolling TikTok.
“I heard a song I couldn’t even understand, but the melody spoke to me. I heard the deep house version instantly.”
With minimal backstory but maximum impact, “Yelil” captures music’s universal language.
4. Sunshine
“Sunshine” brings brightness and comfort.
“It’s an uplifting song—a positive vibe-y song. I want people to feel like everything’s going to be okay when they hear it.”
5. Just Wanna Be
A defining moment in his career, “Just Wanna Be” was part of Groove On Recordings: Class of 2024 and became a standout track.
“It gave me the validation I didn’t even know I needed,”.
he says
Widely loved by OGs in the deep house space, it served as the introduction of Starseed XO to a larger audience.
A Versatile Sound Rooted in Emotion
Starseed XO refuses to box himself into one sonic lane.
“I don’t have a specific sound. I would just describe it as a versatile sound within deep house.”
His approach is driven by feeling and instinct, aiming to offer something for everyone.
Grateful for Groove On Recordings
The partnership with Groove On Recordings has been a pivotal step.
“They did more than they can imagine. They helped with engineering, distribution, and trusted me with their fan base.”
he says gratefully
What Comes Next?
Right now, Starseed XO is focused on appreciating the growth.
“I live in the moment, but I’m hoping for a bigger audience, bigger stages—just bigger everything.”
He also hopes his listeners engage deeply with his work.
“I pay attention to detail, and I want people to experience my music the way I do—fully.”
