Mrs Mops Reflects on Her Mommy Club Journey, Departure, and Future Plans

It’s been five weeks since The Mommy Club Season 3 premiered, and the show is already the most-streamed reality series on Showmax in 2025. With every episode, it continues to dominate social media, with cast members sparking conversations across platforms.

This season introduced four new faces—Mrs J, Noksie, Pheladi, and Vuyi—who joined Hermajesty and Mrs Sande, bringing a fresh dynamic to the beloved series. However, one of the biggest surprises came from OG cast member Mrs Mops, who announced she would be stepping back from the show.

We caught up with her to discuss her decision, her experiences on The Mommy Club, and what the future holds for her.

Why Did You Decide to Take on a Friend Role in Season 3?

“I wanted to focus on my business, Nala Reign, and my family. Reality TV is incredibly time-consuming, and this new chapter of my life is about growing as a businesswoman. But The Mommy Club will always be home—I’ll definitely be back!”

How Was Your Experience Filming the Show?

“It was an incredible journey. The crew became like family, and my kids loved having them around—especially because of the snacks they brought!”

What Do You Miss Most About Being on the Show?

“There’s so much to miss! Filming was always exciting, and I’ve always loved creating television and entertaining people.”

Did You Build Any Lasting Friendships?

“Absolutely! The show introduced me to incredible women. Despite the ups and downs, we always came together as moms, wives, and businesswomen. The bond we share is real.”

What Was the Most Challenging Part of Being on The Mommy Club?

“Watching myself in vulnerable moments. Some things are contained within the show, but once the audience sees them, they take on a life of their own. It’s tough when moments don’t portray you in the best light.”

If You Had to Sum Up Your Time on the Show in One Word, What Would It Be?

“Life-changing. It taught me so much, introduced me to new experiences, and shaped me in unexpected ways.”

How Will You Stay Connected to The Mommy Club Community?

“The show feels like one of my babies. I’ve built real friendships with many of the mommies, and I’ll always remain connected, both on- and off-screen.”

What Advice Would You Give to Future Mommy Club Cast Members?

“Be yourself. Reality TV is about authenticity. You’ll have imperfect moments, but the key is to learn, grow, and take accountability.”

What’s Next for Mrs Mops?

“My business, Nala Reign, is growing, and I’m balancing my 9-to-5 and motherhood. I have some exciting new projects in the works—just wait and see!”

With The Mommy Club franchise expanding beyond Johannesburg to Durban (Sugar & Spice) and Pretoria (Van die Hoofstad), the brand is stronger than ever. While Mrs Mops steps back to focus on her ventures, her presence remains a beloved part of the show’s legacy.
