The first time I picked up the new Galaxy S23 Ultra, I thought oh no this is the first time in the entire history where the smartphone looks almost identical to the one that came before. Without being able to improve the core design from their last phone is scary because does that mean they feel like the perfect of the phone it’s just what all of their phones are going to look like from now on?
Noticeably it is more expensive than the previous version but I took some time to think about it and calm down.
I’ve learned a few important details about this phone that have turned my fear and my disappointment into genuine excitement. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is worth your attention and these are the reasons why.
Rated from the S22 Ultra the quality of the front camera has gone up leading to more accurate skin tones more reliable focusing and a little bit more detail. The S23 Ultra has more storage starting from 256 GB versus the S22 Ultra starting from 128 GB, which makes more sense given that we’re talking about a phone that can shoot proper 8K video.
I think it’s about time we stopped pretending that 128GB of non expandable storage is actually sufficient but the reason why i’m calling a win win is that, this is no ordinary 256GB, this is the fastest flash memory in the world meaning that the phone can read and write files faster while consuming less power and the only thing you have to do is to open up a few apps on your home screen to see that extra responsiveness in action.
Samsung also upgraded the speakers which I think it’s quite important because this is something they haven’t really touched since the Galaxy Note 9 days. Samsung used to have some of the best speakers that you could get on a phone and so I’m excited that they’re trying to reclaim the reputation.
With its new, cutting-edge design, the Galaxy S23 series demonstrates that innovation brings both high-performance and sustainability for the ultimate premium experience.
