Johannesburg’s summer plans have a new date on the calendar. Y’s LYFE, the music and culture experience built around homegrown talent, good energy and bringing people together, is moving to Sunday, 29 November 2026, at Marks Park.
The date has changed, but the promise remains the same: a full day of South African music, sunshine, friends and the kind of atmosphere that makes an ordinary Sunday feel like the start of something special.
With December around the corner, LYFE is positioning itself as the ultimate pre-summer celebration for music lovers ready to trade their everyday routines for an outdoor experience driven by local sounds and shared memories.

A New Date, but the Summer Energy Stays
Sometimes, the best summer plans need a little reshuffling. Y’s LYFE has moved from its original date to Sunday, 29 November, giving festivalgoers a new date to lock into their calendars.
The venue remains Marks Park, with doors opening at 10:00 and the event running until 18:30.
The concept is straightforward: bring your favourite people, put together a summer-ready fit, pack your picnic blanket and spend the day celebrating the music and culture that make South Africa‘s entertainment scene so distinctive.
LYFE is more than a music event on the calendar. It presents itself as a platform for emerging talent, creativity and established artists, creating space for different sounds and audiences to share the same experience.
Sjava, Shekhinah and Sun-El Musician Lead the Lineup
The soundtrack remains a major drawcard, with a lineup that brings together some of South Africa‘s recognisable voices and musical talents.
Confirmed lineup announced by Y’s:
- Sjava
- Shekhinah
- Thando Zide
- Sun-El Musician
- Umzulu Phaqa
- Lusanda
- Yolophonik
- FIF_LAAA
- Just Mo
- Fae Fae

From Sjava’s distinctive storytelling and Shekhinah’s soulful pop sound to Sun-El Musician’s dancefloor-ready production, the lineup brings together different musical identities under one outdoor festival experience.
The inclusion of multiple performers also creates room for audiences to discover artists they might not usually have on their playlists.
For young South Africans, these shared music experiences are about more than watching a favourite performer. They are opportunities to connect with friends, discover new sounds and celebrate the artists shaping the country’s evolving musical identity.
AMA’s Performance Moves to 2027
The date change comes with one significant lineup adjustment. According to Y’s Marketing Manager, Fanele Moloi, AMA will no longer perform at this year’s LYFE because the new date clashes with her existing AMA’s schedule.
The organisers have apologised to fans who had already purchased tickets, confirming that discussions are underway with her team to secure a performance date in 2027. That date will be announced once finalised.
Y’s has also outlined arrangements intended to support existing ticket holders through the change.
All existing ticket holders will automatically receive tickets for the new LYFE date and free access to AMA’s performance next year. Those unable to attend LYFE on the revised date can request a full refund through Webtickets.
The arrangements give ticket holders a choice while the organisers work towards confirming AMA’s future performance.
Your November Summer Plans, Sorted
With the festive season approaching, outdoor music events remain an important part of how South Africans experience summer: through sound, fashion, food, friendships and the collective energy of being together.
Y’s LYFE is bringing those elements together at Marks Park for a Sunday built around local music and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
The date to remember is 29 November 2026. Get the group chat moving, plan your outfits and make sure your ticket arrangements reflect the new date.
The summer countdown continues, and LYFE is ready to provide the soundtrack.
