Pretoria is getting ready for a new addition to its summer music calendar as WAV. Festival makes its debut in the capital on Sunday, 3 January 2027, at SunBet Arena.
Known for celebrating R&B through an African lens, WAV. brings together music, fashion and culture in an experience designed for a generation that sees music as more than entertainment — it’s part of how people express themselves and connect.
Ty Dolla $ign and KWN Lead the Announcement
The festival has announced international artist Ty Dolla $ign and contemporary R&B singer KWN as part of its 2027 line-up.
Their inclusion reflects WAV.’s focus on the evolving sounds of R&B, connecting international influences with the energy and cultural identity of African audiences.
For Pretoria’s music lovers, the festival’s arrival offers an opportunity to experience WAV.’s distinctive blend of sound and style without travelling to Cape Town.
A New Chapter for Pretoria’s Festival Scene
WAV. Festival begins its 2027 journey in Cape Town on 2 January at Green Point Track before heading to SunBet Arena in Pretoria the following day.
The two-city format brings the festival to a wider audience while creating opportunities for more music fans to connect through a shared love of R&B and contemporary culture.
