Bali Beckons for Tropika Season 12

As the search for the next breathtaking destination for Tropika Island of Treasure Season 12 reaches its final stage, viewers are taken to the enchanting landscapes of Bali, Indonesia. Joining host Zanele Potelwa on this exciting scouting adventure is model and TV personality Nqobile Khwezi, who explores whether the famous “Island of the Gods” has what it takes to host the next season of the hit reality competition.

From the lush rice terraces of Ubud to thrilling ATV rides and sky-high cycling experiences, Bali delivers a mix of serenity and adrenaline that perfectly matches the energy of Tropika Island of Treasure. For Nqobile, the journey is especially meaningful after competing on the show herself in Zanzibar in 2024. Returning with fresh perspective, she now evaluates destinations with the eye of someone who understands both the beauty and pressure of the competition.

Nqobile describes Bali as one of her favourite destinations in the world, alongside Milan in Italy. While Milan appeals to her love for fashion, culture, and food, Bali connects deeply with her love for spirituality and self-discovery. Inspired by the book Eat Pray Love, she says experiencing Bali firsthand felt both grounding and transformative.

According to Nqobile, Bali is the ideal setting for a reality show because of its diverse scenery and vibrant energy. The island offers everything from beaches and jungles to temples and rice fields, creating visually stunning moments while also providing challenging environments for contestants to test themselves physically and mentally.

She also believes Bali’s popularity among South Africans comes down to its balance of affordability and luxury. Visitors can enjoy rich culture, warm hospitality, incredible cuisine, and adventurous activities without breaking the bank. Whether travellers are looking for relaxation or excitement, Bali offers something unforgettable.

One of the standout moments during the trip was visiting Bali’s sacred temples. Nqobile describes the experience as deeply spiritual, highlighting the respect and mindfulness woven into Balinese culture. The temples, daily offerings, and peaceful atmosphere reminded her of the importance of slowing down and reconnecting with oneself.

If she had just 24 hours to introduce someone to Bali, her dream itinerary would include a sunrise breakfast overlooking the rice fields, a temple visit, thrilling activities like ATV riding or ziplining, lunch with an ocean view, beach club relaxation, and ending the day with a spectacular Bali sunset dinner.

Nqobile also shared practical travel advice for globetrotters. She recommends packing versatile outfits, downloading offline maps, saving important bookings on your phone, and allowing room for spontaneous experiences while travelling.

Reflecting on her time competing on Tropika Island of Treasure in Zanzibar, Nqobile says the experience challenged her mentally and physically while helping her build meaningful connections. The intense challenges and high-pressure moments became some of her most memorable highlights.

With auditions for Season 12 now officially open, Nqobile encourages aspiring contestants to remain authentic in their audition videos. She advises hopefuls to showcase their genuine personalities, unique strengths, and natural energy to stand out from the crowd.

Fans eager to join the next season can upload their audition videos to social media platforms including TikTok, Facebook, X, and Instagram using the hashtag #Tropika and tagging @MyTropika. Successful finalists will compete for a share of R1 million and receive R10,000 Pep shopping vouchers to prepare for island life in style.

As anticipation builds, fans now eagerly await the grand reveal of which paradise destination will officially host Tropika Island of Treasure Season 12.
