DaniMali Closes Jazz Dialogues Tour in Cape Town – 2 August Finale at Selective Live
2 August 2025 @ 6:00 pm – 3 August 2025 @ 2:00 am
The final note of the transformative Dialogues Across Provinces Tour will sound in the Mother City as DaniMali, led by renowned South African saxophonist and composer Nhlanhla Mahlangu, wraps up their national journey at Selective Live in Cape Town on 2 August 2025. The five-date interprovincial tour, which has taken Afro-Jazz through Gauteng’s vibrant music spaces, now culminates in a soul-stirring finale on the Western Cape stage.
Known for its intimate atmosphere and dedication to live performance culture, Selective Live offers the perfect venue for this meaningful closing chapter. Audiences can expect an evening of emotionally charged jazz, deep grooves, and cultural storytelling that celebrates indigenous knowledge, freedom of expression, and the power of music to unite across distance and difference.
“Cape Town has always been central to South Africa’s jazz story. Ending the tour here, surrounded by a community that has both preserved and evolved the art form, feels like the perfect homecoming.”

The Dialogues Across Provinces Tour has been presented with the support of Concerts SA, the Hugh Masekela Heritage Foundation, DaniMali NPC, Makhubeng Music, and fashion partner Urban Zulu. It is also powered by the University of South Africa (UNISA), SAMRO, and the National Treasury Jobs Fund, through the Music Mobility Fund—affirming the deep link between education, enterprise, and culture.
This final performance is more than a concert—it’s a collective celebration of what jazz represents: memory in motion, and heritage turned into harmony.
