Luminary South African Jazz Ensemble DaniMali Launches Dialogues Across Provinces Tour – A Journey of Sound, Story, and Unity

South Africa’s vibrant jazz scene receives a powerful new chapter as the acclaimed ensemble DaniMali, led by celebrated saxophonist and composer Nhlanhla Mahlangu, embarks on their Dialogues Across Provinces tour. Happening from 23 July to 2 August 2025, the five-date interprovincial tour promises audiences an unforgettable fusion of Afro-Jazz, cultural dialogue, and creative unity.

The tour is proudly presented in collaboration with Concerts SA, the Hugh Masekela Heritage Foundation, DaniMali NPC, Makhubeng Music, and Urban Zulu, and is designed to celebrate jazz as a living, breathing language of memory and cultural transmission. Traversing Gauteng and culminating in Cape Town, the tour aims to unite communities through sound, storytelling, and a deep reverence for indigenous knowledge systems.

“Jazz is our memory in motion. This tour is about creating meaningful conversations – between generations, provinces, and art forms, and honouring the indigenous knowledge systems that shape our sound. I am so excited to be bringing this to life through this tour and look forward to receiving audiences and colleagues within the industry alike.”
