2 January 2027 @ 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Cape Town is getting ready to welcome WAV. Festival back for another summer celebration of R&B, fashion and culture. Taking place on Saturday, 2 January 2027, at Green Point Track, the festival will bring music lovers together for an experience that connects international sounds with an African perspective.
Ty Dolla $ign and KWN Join the Line-Up
The 2027 edition has announced international R&B and hip-hop artist Ty Dolla $ign and contemporary R&B singer KWN as part of its line-up. Their inclusion sets the tone for a festival centred on the evolving sounds of R&B and its influence on modern music culture.
WAV. Festival goes beyond the stage, celebrating the relationship between music, fashion and cultural expression. Its vision of reimagining R&B through an African lens creates space for global sounds to connect with local audiences and contemporary South African culture.
Your Summer Starts at Green Point Track
With Cape Town hosting the opening event of the two-city festival, Green Point Track will be the place to kick off the new year with live music and a shared festival experience.
WAV. Festival continues in Pretoria on 3 January 2027 at SunBet Arena, marking the event’s first expansion into the capital city.
