PUMA and Bulls Bring Loftus to Life in New Kit

For rugby fans, Loftus Versfeld is more than a stadium. It is a meeting point, a memory-maker and, for many supporters, a place that feels like home.

That idea now sits at the centre of the Vodacom Bulls’ new 2026/27 Home kit, launched in collaboration with PUMA under the powerful theme “All Roads Lead To Loftus.”

Rather than simply putting a new spin on a rugby jersey, the design turns the Bulls’ home ground and Pretoria’s streets into part of the story.

When the City Becomes the Jersey

The most striking feature of the new jersey is its map-inspired graphic.

Lines spread across the chest and back, representing roads and routes converging on Loftus Versfeld. At the centre sits the Bulls badge, transforming the jersey into a visual representation of the journeys made by supporters throughout the season.

It is a clever idea because rugby fandom rarely starts and ends inside the stadium.

Supporters travel from different neighbourhoods, cities and even countries to experience match day. The jersey acknowledges that movement while making Loftus the ultimate destination.

The colour palette reinforces that identity, moving from deep navy around the shoulders into the Bulls’ recognisable Loftus blue across the torso.

Built for the Modern Game

There is also plenty happening beneath the visual storytelling.

PUMA has designed the jersey around the physical demands of professional rugby, incorporating moisture-management technology to help keep players dry and comfortable.

Durability is another key consideration, with reinforced stitching and abrasion-resistant materials designed to handle the punishment of a contact sport.

Stretch fabric allows greater freedom of movement, while grip-dot detailing is intended to help players maintain better control of the ball during tackles and rapid movements.

In other words, the jersey is designed to perform as hard as it looks.

More Than Merchandise

For Urban Lifestyle’s audience, perhaps the most interesting part of the launch is how sport and identity continue to overlap.

Modern sportswear is no longer confined to match day. Rugby jerseys have become part of streetwear, fan culture and personal expression, particularly when a design carries a strong sense of place.

The “All Roads Lead To Loftus” concept taps directly into that space.

It connects the professional players wearing the kit on the field with supporters wearing it in the streets, creating a shared visual identity around one of South Africa’s most recognisable rugby venues.

As Vodacom Bulls CEO Edgar Rathbone puts it, Loftus represents the “heartbeat” of the Bulls. The new kit attempts to make that heartbeat wearable.

The New Bulls Look

The 2026/27 Home jersey is available from 15 August 2026, giving supporters the chance to take the new design from Loftus to the streets.

The adult jersey retails for R1,099, while junior sizes are priced at R999.

Available through PUMA.com, PUMA retail stores, SportSA, Studio 88, Takealot, Totalsports and Sportsmans Warehouse, the new jersey is positioned as both performance kit and a symbol of belonging.

Because wherever the season takes the Bulls, supporters know where the journey ultimately ends: Loftus.
