Black Coffee Foundation and LEPAS Announce Mobility Partnership to Expand Community Impact
The Black Coffee Foundation has announced a powerful new partnership with LEPAS, marking a significant step forward in its mission to uplift and empower communities across South Africa. As the Foundation’s official mobility partner, LEPAS will play a key role in helping extend the reach and effectiveness of its initiatives nationwide.

Built on a shared vision of sustainable and meaningful impact, the collaboration is set to enhance the Foundation’s ability to connect with underserved communities. By improving access to remote areas and enabling efficient transportation of resources, the partnership ensures that vital programmes can be delivered consistently and at scale.

Established in 2010, the Black Coffee Foundation has become a cornerstone of community development in South Africa. Its work spans education, social relief, and infrastructure development, always guided by a commitment to dignity, access, and long-term opportunity. Over the years, the Foundation has responded to both urgent crises and ongoing societal needs with impactful solutions.

Among its standout initiatives is the Gifts of Sight by Black Coffee programme, which restores vision to schoolchildren in need, helping to unlock their academic potential. The Foundation has also led infrastructure projects such as rebuilding homes in the Eastern Cape and has provided essential flood relief support to communities affected by natural disasters.

Through its partnership with LEPAS, the Foundation will gain access to mobility solutions that make it easier to reach remote regions, respond swiftly to emergencies, and scale its outreach efforts more effectively. This logistical support is expected to significantly enhance the delivery of services and amplify the Foundation’s overall impact.

Founder Black Coffee emphasised the importance of accessibility in creating lasting change, noting that the Foundation’s work has always centred on reaching people in meaningful ways. CEO Lungie Maphumulo echoed this sentiment, highlighting how the partnership will enable faster response times and a stronger presence in communities that need it most.

From the LEPAS side, National Brand and Marketing Manager Letitia Herold described the collaboration as a reflection of the brand’s commitment to purposeful impact. Aligning with its “Drive Your Elegance” philosophy, LEPAS sees mobility not just as transportation, but as a bridge to empowerment and social progress.

As the Black Coffee Foundation continues to expand its footprint, this partnership represents a pivotal moment in its journey—ensuring that its initiatives can reach further, respond faster, and ultimately transform more lives across South Africa.
