Sbahle & Mawelele Unite in Soulful New Single “Ngiyabheja Ngawe”

South African afropop sensation Sbahle returns with a stirring new single, “Ngiyabheja Ngawe,” featuring award-winning artist Mawelele, best known for his platinum-selling hit “All My Life” featuring Kwesta. This collaboration brings together two of the genre’s most soulful voices in a touching ode to love, faith, and emotional honesty.

“Ngiyabheja Ngawe” opens with Sbahle’s tender, captivating chorus — “Angifuni lutho ngento yam, angifuni lutho ezophazamisa uthando lwethu – Ngyabheja Ngawe” — meaning “I don’t want anything or anyone to interfere with my lover or the love we have for one another. I can bet on you and our love for each other.” Her voice radiates devotion and warmth, pulling listeners into an intimate world of trust and affection.

Mawelele’s verse follows with heartfelt vulnerability: “Baby God knows you’re my one and only, akhala wena dali esifubeni sami,” translating to “Baby, God knows you’re my one and only. It’s you who pulls my heart’s strings.” His smooth delivery and emotional candor reflect the depth of connection shared between two lovers. In a later verse, he admits, “Sometimes I feel lonely without you and it’s cold out there… I explored and saw other people and forgot about our love,” baring a human side that many will find deeply relatable.

Since her breakout hit “Emlanjeni” — which has surpassed 17 million YouTube views — Sbahle has captured hearts across South Africa with her raw, relatable storytelling and signature afropop sound. She has continued to rise with hits like “Ngiyazifela,” “Ubani Obayazi” featuring Blaq Diamond, and her independently released success “Uthe Uyangithanda” featuring Pretty Masompisi & Mjolisi via Africori.

Rooted in Umlazi, Sbahle draws inspiration from her late grandfather and icons such as Kelly Khumalo, Nhlanhla Nciza, Zonke, Lebo Mathosa, and Brenda Fassie. Her collaboration with Mawelele marks an exciting new chapter — one that fuses soulful storytelling with heartfelt African rhythms.

Looking ahead, Sbahle is preparing to release her debut album in early 2026, promising more music that celebrates love, healing, and connection. Reflecting on the collaboration, she shares:

“Music has always been a part of my life—it’s how I express myself and connect with people. Working with Mawelele felt like bringing two hearts together through song, and I can’t wait for everyone to feel the love we put into this track.”

“Ngiyabheja Ngawe” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Deezer — a powerful, soul-enriching anthem for anyone who believes in the beauty of love.
