The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa Heads to Brazil

The glitz, drama, and sisterhood are back — and bigger than ever. The Showmax Original The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa unites some of the most iconic women from across the continent for a once-in-a-lifetime getaway to Brazil. Following the massive success of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: South Africa, one of Showmax’s top-performing series in 2024, this sizzling new spin-off promises even higher stakes, deeper connections, and plenty of glamour under the Brazilian sun.

Representing The Real Housewives of Durban are Annie Mthembu, Angel Ndlela, and Jojo Robinson. Annie, who appeared in Seasons 1–3, returns alongside Angel, the rising star from Seasons 4 and 5, and Jojo, who’s featured in four consecutive seasons, earning her the title of Durban’s most seasoned Housewife.

From The Real Housewives of Johannesburg, original icons Madam Evodia Mogase and Christall Kay are back to bring unmatched charisma and flair. Madam Evodia’s dazzling energy and Christall’s signature wit and resilience — seen in her triumphant return on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: South Africa — make them a duo to watch.

Adding East African elegance, The Real Housewives of Nairobi stars Dr Catherine Masitsa (Dr C) and Zena Nyambu bring sophistication and spirit. Dr C, a two-season veteran, joins Zena, who quickly became a fan favourite after joining Season 2.

From West Africa, The Real Housewives of Lagos’s Mariam Timmer and The Real Housewives of Abuja’s Princess Jecoco represent Nigeria’s style and sparkle. Mariam has appeared in all three Lagos seasons, while Princess Jecoco made her grand debut in Abuja’s first season.

Set to premiere on Showmax on 28 November 2025 and on Mzansi Magic on 29 November 2025, the series is produced by GOAT Productions — the team behind Unfollowed, Untied, and the SAFTA-winning Life With Kelly Khumalo Season 3.

“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa is more than just a reality show — it’s a celebration of African womanhood in all its power, diversity, and glamour. For the first time, we’re bringing together iconic Housewives from across the continent to share their worlds, their stories, and their sisterhood. It’s unapologetically Pan-African, women-led, and bursting with authenticity.”

says executive producer Graeme Swanepoel

“Every African version of The Real Housewives has captured the vibrant diversity of its country while resonating globally. With The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa, we’re taking that energy to the next level — uniting formidable Housewives for an unforgettable journey. Viewers are in for the trip of a lifetime.”

Barrie Kelly, VP of International Format Production and Development at NBCUniversal Formats, adds:

Originally launched in 2021 in the US, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip has become a global phenomenon with four hit seasons on Peacock. Both The Real Housewives and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip are distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Pack your bags and prepare for the ultimate celebration of power, friendship, and luxury — Africa’s queens are taking over Brazil.
