DaMabusa Releases Highly Anticipated New Single “Amaphupho” Featuring Ama Grootman & SoulQue

Johan Sifiso Sithebe, famously known as DaMabusa, is back with another chart-worthy release—his highly anticipated new single “Amaphupho.” Featuring powerhouse vocals from Ama Grootman and SoulQue, the track is already making waves online, especially with over six thousand fan-made recreations on TikTok before its official release.

Hailing from Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga, DaMabusa began his musical journey in a local choir in 2007. After launching his own choir in 2019, he soon transitioned into solo artistry, breaking through in 2022 with the emotional hit Umama Owangizalayo, which went multi-platinum. He followed up with the Izipho EP and launched his independent label—solidifying his place as both an artist and entrepreneur.

With hits like Umama Owangizalayo 2.0 and Ithuba under his belt, and collaborations with the likes of Shebeshxt, Paige & Sdala B, Eemoh, Rayvanny, and Nutty O, DaMabusa has earned his place among South Africa’s music elite. He has shared the stage with icons including Makhadzi, Master KG, and Young Stunna, and received nominations at the AFRIMME Ghana and SATMA Awards in 2023.
