Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re searching for the perfect way to honour the leading lady in your life, look no further than Spice Route’s Saffron Rosé 2023. Elegant, aromatic, and refreshingly dry, this Provence-style Rosé is the ultimate gesture of love and appreciation, served chilled on a sunlit afternoon with family and laughter all around.
Crafted from low-yielding Grenache Noir bush vines grown in the rich red oakleaf soils of Darling, Saffron Rosé is as precious and refined as the spice that inspired it. Just like saffron – hand-harvested with care and known for its opulence – each grape that goes into this wine is meticulously selected and barrel-fermented to preserve its delicate character.
In the glass, Saffron stuns with its vivid coral hue and layers of strawberries, pomegranate, and rose petals, with gentle hints of honey and melon. It’s a vivacious wine that enchants from the first sip, with a creamy finish that lingers just long enough to make a lasting impression.
Picture this: a table dressed in blooms, a chilled bottle of Saffron Rosé on ice, and a spread of Mom’s favourite dishes — from seafood paella to sushi, prosciutto and melon salad, or even Thai cuisine. This versatile Rosé is a flawless pairing for all of it, making every bite more memorable and every moment more magical.
Spoil Mom this Mother’s Day with more than just a gift — give her an experience she’ll remember. Visit the Spice Route Destination in Paarl for a bottle (or three) or order online at spiceroutewines.co.za for R160.
