February, the ‘Month of Love,’ is here, and what better way to celebrate romance than with a chilled bottle of exquisite rosé? Pink is the colour of love, after all. Whether you’re toasting to a new romance, a long-standing love, or simply indulging in life’s finer pleasures, Fairview’s Rose Quartz 2024 is the perfect companion for the occasion.
This captivating rosé enchants with its pale rose quartz hue, an enticing preview of the sensory delight that follows. From the first pour, expect a fragrance of pomegranate and summer berries, complemented by hints of apricot blossom. On the palate, it’s fresh and vibrant, layered with fruit and a subtle, delightful touch of brioche. The wine’s elegant mouthfeel and crisp, lingering aftertaste make it an irresistible choice—easy to love and even easier to enjoy. Served perfectly chilled, Fairview Rose Quartz 2024 is ideal as an apéritif or paired with a romantic meal, elevating any special moment.

The Essence of Fairview Rose Quartz
South Africa’s vineyard landscape is rich with history and geology, and the Paarl region is home to one of the country’s most striking features—the largest granite rock formation in Africa. These soils, flecked with decomposed quartz that shimmers pink in the sunlight, provide the ideal foundation for Fairview’s Rose Quartz 2024, a reflection of the minerals from which it is born.

The Blend
- Cinsault (48%) – Sourced from 30-year-old bushvines on the upper slopes of Fairview, where the iconic rose quartz stones are visible among the vines.
- Grenache Noir (35%) – Picked early from the terraced Stok-by-Paaltjie vineyard, located on the east-facing slopes of Paarl Mountain.
- Carignan (16%) & Mourvèdre (1%) – Organically grown in the dryland vineyards of Swartland, adding structure and complexity.
The Winemaking Process
Every grape that contributes to Fairview’s premium rosé is carefully handpicked and whole-bunch pressed to retain its delicate character. After settling overnight, the Cinsault and Grenache were cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks, while the Carignan was barrel-fermented in older French oak, lending a creamy texture to the final blend. Aged for seven months on the lees, the result is a refined rosé with depth, elegance, and balance.

A Perfect Pairing for Love
While delicious on its own, Fairview Rose Quartz 2024 pairs beautifully with a variety of romantic dishes, making it the ultimate Valentine’s Day indulgence. Enjoy it with:
- Fresh oysters and sushi
- Smoked salmon and prosciutto-wrapped melon
- Light summer salads and Mediterranean seafood dishes
- Soft cheeses like Camembert and Brie
- Tapas platters and paella

Whether you’re planning a picnic under the stars or an intimate candlelit dinner, this versatile rosé adds an elegant touch to any occasion.
