Imali marks Cornelius SA‘s debut on Sondela, joined by the returning NAAK, who previously released the instrumental banger Jikelele on the label.

This time, NAAK steps into the spotlight with his powerful vocals on Imali, a song that carries a meaningful message about money. Singing in Xhosa, NAAK emphasizes the importance of staying humble despite financial success, reminding listeners that money should never define superiority.

This first-time collaboration between Cornelius SA and NAAK is a full-circle moment for Cornelius, having long admired NAAK‘s lyrical energy. The project is completed by Cee ElAssaad‘s remix, which offers a more progressive, emotional take on the original, blending deep grooves with captivating technicality.

This release highlights the unique synergy between all the artists involved, delivering a track that is both deeply personal and musically dynamic, offering a fresh perspective on Afro House with every listen.
