#Urbanlifestyle #StayAtHome interview with Kyeezi
Eastern Cape born and Cape Town schooled Kyeezi has always had a passion for basketball, and with his height of almost 2 meters tall, it’s easy to understand why he spent some time in his past on the basketball courts.
The basketball court is also where he earned the nick-name The Tall Wonder.
Radio has always been a passion and Good Hope FM first noticed Kyeezi when he participated in the Good Hope FM Campus DJ’ search in 2012, becoming one of the top contenders that year. His passion and enthusiasm to learn more about commercial radio had him spending quite some time in the Good Hope FM passages, and he was offered a contract to present the graveyard shift by August 2013.
Kyeezi became a familiar face on national TV when he participated in the SABC3 presenter search and became one of the top 5 finalists in June 2015. After this he was offered the host position of the second season on Win a Home (SABC3) and shortly thereafter he graduated to weekday radio where he is currently the host of The Great Drive (weekdays between 15:00 and 18:00).
Off air Kyeezi is very involved in the local urban music scene and works as an MC at various night spots and events in and around the Mother City. Kyeezi is also a huge sneaker fanatic but his first love is still radio.
