STY TRU BTS is very proud to present sptmbr yngstr (September Youngster) , a 20-year-old producer & DJ who’s talent and drive has catapulted him to the forefront of the music scene in South Africa. Originally from Joburg but now based in Cape Town, he has already established himself as a colossal force at home and abroad with recognition from Soulection & Red Bull Music Academy.

He’s been making music since he was 16 using nothing but his computer to produce vibrant down-tempo music. Mainly self-taught, sptmbr’s sound is heavily influenced by Trap, Future Beats and Hip-Hop.

In August 2018, he release ‘Chillout (feat. Luar)‘ as a single from his debut 4-track EP ‘Haven Exhibit‘ released on August 31st, 2018 through Haven Records. He’s done guest mixes for a few online radio shows such as Bump Your Neck Radio #62, Chrysalism Radio #14 & Slow Habits #19. He also had a collaborative track, ‘Den_iWanna‘ co-produced with DeeDONTCARE, featured on Soulection Radio Show#336.

The EP sound ranges from hip hop (“first love”) to Soulful future beats R’nB (“11:11”), what he is known for.
