Bongani Patrick Qupula (Born 23 May 1993, in South Africa) professionally known as Vlokdegie ia South African recording artist and a producer to his debut Mixtape “Levels You Cant Reach”, Which was released on the 19 December 2016. He is currently signed up to an independent Group/Label known as VistaGang.

Early Life   

Vlokdegie grew up in a place called ‘Meadowlands’ Based in Soweto in Gauteng. He attended high school in St Martin de Porres High, he was very athlethic as he partook in various sporting activities, including short poot and soccer, he started rapping when he was in grade 6 at the age of 11.

The first lyric which he wrote were inspired by Lil Mama “put out your lighters up”, from then onwards he stared to pursue a career in the music industry as rapper and a producer.

In 2010 at the age of 15, Vlokdegie was then Discovered by a Group / Label VistaGang. Which then started pushing him as a recording artist to achieve his dream.

In 2015 Vlokdegie signed to a record label known as Aquinas Music Inc, which had artists such as Shabzmedelion, Shakesheezy, IV, Ntsikimazway, Golden Beats, Lucid lee and Tropdilor. In 2015 he released mjongeni as his first ‘Signle’ from his debut Mixtape “Levels You Cant Reach” which gained him enough exposure as rapper. The single was well received by his friends, family and the people around his community.

In 2016 he graduated from varsity with a diploma in film and television as a visual editor. He completed his course at City Varsity School of Media and Creative Art.
