Scorpion Kings Add More Tickets

DJ Maphorisa And Kabza De Small Release More Tickets After Massive Demand

DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small have officially announced the release of additional tickets for the highly anticipated Scorpion Kings Live at FNB Stadium following unprecedented demand from fans across South Africa and beyond.

The announcement comes after a historic first day of ticket sales on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, which saw Webtickets record more than half a million users in the queue attempting to secure seats for the event. The staggering demand has already positioned Scorpion Kings Live as one of the biggest music events ever staged in South Africa.

Within just hours of tickets going on sale, over 50,000 tickets were sold — matching the entire attendance of the landmark 2025 Scorpion Kings Live with Friends event at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. The sales accounted for nearly 60% of the total capacity for this year’s massive FNB Stadium showcase.

Following widespread fan reactions on social media, DJ Maphorisa addressed supporters during an Instagram Live session, later joined by Kabza De Small, where the duo discussed releasing additional ticket allocations earlier than planned.

“We see the demand, we see the fans asking, and we want to know from you, do we release more today at 5pm or later? These tickets were always meant for the people, especially those who usually buy later in the month. But after yesterday, it’s clear — we need to open it up so more people can come through and be part of this.”

The additional allocation, originally reserved for fans purchasing around mid-month and month-end salary cycles, was officially released on Wednesday, 6 May 2026 at 5pm to accommodate overwhelming public demand.

Set for 19 September 2026, Scorpion Kings Live at FNB Stadium is expected to attract more than 80,000 fans, making it the largest Amapiano concert ever hosted. The event continues to elevate the genre’s cultural significance while showcasing the global rise of Amapiano music.

The success of the ticket sales has also sparked speculation about a possible second show. DJ Maphorisa hinted that if demand continues at its current pace and tickets sell out quickly following the latest release, organisers may consider adding another date — a move that would further cement the Scorpion Kings’ place in South African music history.

Fans are being urged to move quickly as demand remains exceptionally high for what is shaping up to be one of the biggest live entertainment moments of 2026.

Tickets are available via Webtickets, as well as Pick n Pay and Boxer stores nationwide.

More than just a concert, Scorpion Kings Live at FNB Stadium is becoming a defining celebration of Amapiano culture and South African music on a global scale.
