Urban Lifestyle Attends HUMANZ Inaugural Top 20 Awards 2026
On 24 February 2026, Urban Lifestyle was invited to witness history as HUMANZ announced its inaugural Top 20 winners in South Africa — celebrating the country’s most impactful and innovative digital creators. Among the standout nominees was Amahle-Imvelo “Jaxx Amahle” Jaxa, a voice that has become synonymous with youth empowerment, political education and cultural commentary in 2025.
We caught up with Jaxx for an exclusive interview following her nomination.
Meet Amahle-Imvelo “Jaxx Amahle” Jaxa
Amahle-Imvelo Jaxa, popularly known as Jaxx, is a South African digital creator, social activist, political educator and media personality whose influence among young audiences continues to rise. What began as social commentary on TikTok has evolved into a powerful mission: simplifying news, current affairs and complex political issues so young people can stay informed and engaged.
Her signature greeting, “Howzit,” instantly signals that her audience is about to receive a breakdown of the latest developments in a relatable, easy-to-understand format.
With an academic background in politics, philosophy and economics, Jaxx has mastered the art of translating topics like budget speeches, elections and public policy into digestible short-form content tailored for a digital-first generation.
From Events to Content Strategy
Before becoming a leading political content creator, Jaxx was a co-founder and driving force behind Until Until Events, a youth-driven marketing and events company that curated major cultural experiences across Johannesburg and beyond.
“Events to content production is similar but very different, but kind of the same ethos. I’m building a brand strategy, which is what I used to do for my events anyway. I have to book photographers, it’s project management — content creation is project management.”
When asked about transitioning from events to content production, she explained:
Her pivot proves that brand building, strategy and execution remain central to her journey — just in a different medium.
A Nomination Among the Best
“I’m super excited, thrilled actually to be nominated, especially amongst the people I’m nominated with. They’re incredible creators as well, so it’s super, super cool.”
Speaking about her HUMANZ Top 20 nomination, Jaxx shared her excitement:
Her nomination places her among South Africa’s most influential digital voices — a testament to her impact in shaping conversations that matter.

The Rise of “Jaxx of All Trades”
In 2025, Jaxx expanded her platform with the launch of the Jaxx of All Trades podcast — a visual and conversational space where she dives deeper into politics, sports, culture and current affairs alongside prominent South African creators and artists.
“I was supposed to upload a new episode today but I’m at the awards, so you guys will forgive me — it’s a couple of hours late!”
Despite being at the awards, she laughed about delaying an episode:
“Just growing my podcast, growing my platform and continuing to educate and give people knowledge on this beautiful country of ours, South Africa.”
Looking ahead, Jaxx is focused on growth:
More Than Influence — Impact
Beyond informative content, Jaxx has partnered with brands like Dove, aligning her advocacy for self-love and authenticity with campaigns that resonate deeply with women across the country. By openly sharing her personal journey with self-image and vulnerability, she has built a community grounded in trust and empowerment.
Today, Amahle-Imvelo “Jaxx Amahle” Jaxa stands as a trusted source of social and political truth for South African youth — making current affairs accessible, engaging and empowering in a time when informed voices matter more than ever.
As HUMANZ celebrates the country’s Top 20 creators, one thing is clear: Jaxx isn’t just building a platform — she’s building a generation of informed young South Africans.
