Monique Bingham & Black Coffee – Deep In The Bottom (Remixes) Part 1 Gets a Decade-Defining Makeover
A decade after its release, the iconic house anthem “Deep In The Bottom (Of Africa)” is back with a fresh new twist. To celebrate 10 years of the track that helped define a generation of soulful house lovers, Monique Bingham and Black Coffee have dropped an explosive remix project that reimagines the classic for today’s dancefloor.
Released on 14 November 2025, Deep In The Bottom (Remixes) Part 1 brings together some of the most exciting names in South African dance music, each offering their own powerful interpretation of this timeless anthem.
The journey begins with Jazzworx, delivering a 3 Step remix that maintains the emotional soul of the original while moving it firmly into today’s groove-focused sound.
Then comes DBN Gogo, the unstoppable queen of Amapiano, who brings a “private school” Amapiano remix—clean, elegant and dance-ready.
Thandi Draai follows with a fierce Afro Tech-inspired remix, injecting deep energy, pulsating drums and a massive festival feel.
The remix roster just keeps stacking:
- Sir LSG delivers a smooth, soulful deep house rework perfect for late-night sets.
- Citizen Deep blends Afro House with his well-loved 3Step flavor, resulting in a spicy, groove-heavy interpretation.
- 2wo Bunnies close things off with a raw, street-ready “strata” Amapiano remix, built for the real dancers and late-night sessions.
From Deep House to Amapiano, Afro Tech to 3Step, this project honors the legacy of the original while pushing it boldly into the next decade.
Deep In The Bottom (Remixes) Part 1 is not just a tribute—it’s a reminder of the staying power of South African dance music and an anthem reborn for a new generation of house lovers.
