Raymnd Notypo Drops “On Time” Music Video Feat. Kaygizm

Raymnd Notypo has officially dropped the music video for “On Time”, one of the standout tracks from his album Republic of Gazankulu, released on Friday, 28 March 2025. The project, which we previously reviewed in depth, continues to showcase Raymnd’s growth, independence, and unique approach to storytelling. (Read our album review for more insight.)

“On Time” blends Afrobeat rhythms with smooth R&B melodies and confident rap flows, creating a warm, emotional track that speaks directly to longing, love, and loyalty. Throughout the song, Raymnd talks about coming home to someone who has been waiting for him—affirming that he is a man of his word:

“I know I’ll be coming home today, I’ll be on time, ’cause love is never ever late…”

The lyrics paint the picture of a man who has been away for a long time but remains committed, determined to return to the one he loves—no matter the distance or difficulty.

A Music Video With a Twist

In the music video, Raymnd Notypo brings the song’s emotional story to life. We see him on his journey home, hopeful and driven by love. The powerful reveal is that he has just escaped jail, determined to return to the woman who has been on his mind.

However, when he finally arrives, he finds Kaygizm—his collaborator on the track—with the very woman he has been longing for. She could no longer wait, choosing someone who seemed more present and promising. Kaygizm takes on narration within the video, sharing his side of the situation and emphasizing how emotionally complex the moment really is.

Tsonga Storytelling at Its Finest

Raymnd Notypo continues to represent Tsonga rap with authenticity, raw narrative detail, and a style that captures real-life experiences many can relate to—distance, loyalty, heartbreak, and the consequences of time.

“On Time” isn’t just a love song; it’s a cinematic moment that shows how life doesn’t always wait, even when someone intends to do the right thing.

This video reinforces Raymnd as a master storyteller—one who uses visuals, lyrics, and cultural honesty to build layered narratives that linger long after the screen goes dark.
