The Hollywoodbets Durban July 2025 brought together the crème de la crème of South African fashion in a kaleidoscope of creativity, culture, and couture. Under this year’s theme, Marvels of Mzansi, designers and fashionistas pushed boundaries with daring designs that paid tribute to the diversity and spirit of South Africa.

From striking silhouettes to culturally infused ensembles, the event was a celebration of imagination and identity. Durban designer Pregasen Govender made a triumphant return after six years, presenting garments inspired by the ocean’s hues, the glint of Indian jewelry, and even the mystique of Japanese samurais — all tied together by Durban’s coastal charm and cultural mosaic.
Pietermaritzburg’s Pamela Shabane captivated the crowd with her black-and-white striped designs, channeling the essence of the South African zebra and the symbolism of unity in the nation’s flag.
“I wanted to bring that together and for it to be about us,”.
