On Saturday, 12 October 2024, from 18:00 to 23:59, Johannesburg will witness the launch of GOOD WORK, an exciting new live music event series curated by STAY LOW, a label renowned for championing cutting-edge music and culture. With a focus on blending international and local talent, GOOD WORK promises to be a cultural moment for the city, spotlighting top-tier performances and celebrating musical innovation.
The inaugural edition is headlined by acclaimed US hip-hop artist Mick Jenkins, whose introspective lyrics and genre-bending sound have earned him a global following. Known for his critically acclaimed projects like The Water[s] and Pieces of a Man, Jenkins is set to bring his unique artistry to Johannesburg for an unforgettable live experience.
Joining Jenkins on stage are two of South Africa’s rising stars: Marcus Harvey and ZuluMecca. Marcus Harvey, known for his genre-defying style that blends hip-hop, R&B, and soul, is a force in the local music scene, bringing energy and creativity to every performance. ZuluMecca, a pioneering voice in South African hip-hop, adds depth with her poetic lyricism and powerful presence, ensuring the night will be one to remember.
Tickets for this event range from R395 to R595, offering music lovers the chance to witness this unique cultural event in one of Johannesburg’s most iconic venues, The Nest in New Doornfontein, a space known for hosting boundary-pushing art and music events.
