PUMA Reveals New Deviate Elite HYROX Colourway

Global sports brand PUMA has introduced a striking new teal colourway of its Deviate NITRO™ Elite HYROX, the world’s first performance shoe specifically engineered for the demands of HYROX competition.

The refreshed AW26 edition made its debut at the 2026 HYROX World Championships in Stockholm, where competing athletes received exclusive early access before the shoe’s wider retail release.

Since its launch earlier this year, the Deviate NITRO™ Elite HYROX has earned a reputation as one of the sport’s premier race-day shoes, helping athletes set four HYROX world records. The latest colourway combines mint and vibrant green tones with lavender accents, inspired by the determination, focus and energy displayed by competitors on race day.

Developed in close collaboration with elite HYROX athletes, the shoe is designed to deliver exceptional speed, stability and responsiveness across the diverse challenges of HYROX racing. A full-coverage PUMAGRIP outsole features a specially engineered lug pattern to maximise traction across multiple surfaces encountered during competition.

The shoe also incorporates NITROFOAM™ ELITE cushioning for superior energy return, while a full-length carbon fibre PWRPLATE enhances propulsion and efficiency throughout every stride.

HYROX world record holder and PUMA athlete Joanna Wietrzyk praised the new release.

“The HYROX World Championships are the biggest event in the sport, so it’s exciting to see athletes get first access to the ultimate HYROX race-day shoe in the new colourway there. The Deviate Elite HYROX was built specifically for the demands of our sport, and it’s become a key part of my race-day setup.”

PUMA has partnered with HYROX since the fitness racing series staged its inaugural event in Hamburg in 2017. As HYROX continues to grow worldwide, the brand remains committed to supporting athletes through innovation and event activations.

During the World Championships, PUMA introduced its renowned NITRO™ Lab experience to HYROX for the first time. Athletes competed in a 1km treadmill challenge against benchmark times set by Elite 15 athletes Jake Williamson and Joanna Wietrzyk, with winners earning a pair of the new Deviate NITRO™ Elite HYROX shoes.

The brand also hosted a Midsommar Shakeout Run, giving the first 100 participants the opportunity to swap their existing HYROX shoes for the new Deviate NITRO™ Elite HYROX.

The PUMA Deviate NITRO™ Elite HYROX is now available at PUMA retail stores, the official PUMA online store, Sportsmans Warehouse, and Totalsports for a recommended retail price of R6,099.
