Mawethu Music Unveils Heartfelt Alunamda EP
Mawethu Music has officially released his new EP, Alunamda, a heartfelt collection that explores the beauty of love, loyalty and emotional vulnerability. The project follows the success of his Afro-pop hit Phakathi Kwabantu, expanding on its message of choosing and cherishing one special person.
Blending rich Afro-pop melodies with deeply personal storytelling, Alunamda takes listeners on an emotional journey through themes of affection, commitment and genuine connection. The EP balances grand orchestral arrangements, such as Wasishiya (Symphonic), with intimate acoustic moments, creating a listening experience that is both powerful and authentic.
Leading the release is Phakathi Kwabantu (Acoustic) featuring Majalamba Omhle and Musical Xhepard. Sung in isiXhosa, the reimagined version strips the original back to its emotional core, allowing its message of faithful love and devotion to shine through with soulful vocals and delicate instrumentation.
