Stella Artois Serves Style at Wimbledon White Can Launch

Urban Lifestyle Experiences Stella Artois’ Stylish Wimbledon White Can Launch

On Wednesday, 24 June 2026, Urban Lifestyle was invited to experience Stella Artois’ “The Perfect Serve”, an exclusive celebration marking the South African launch of the limited-edition Wimbledon White Can. Held on a beautifully transformed tennis court in Johannesburg, the afternoon combined luxury, creativity, fashion and sport in a way that reflected the brand’s philosophy that “Some experiences are simply Worth More.”

Against an elegant monochromatic backdrop inspired by the striking white design of the limited-edition can, guests enjoyed an immersive experience where every detail paid homage to the timeless traditions of Wimbledon while embracing contemporary South African creativity.

The long-table luncheon, refined décor and sophisticated atmosphere created an unforgettable setting for the unveiling of Stella Artois‘ newest collector’s item.

A Celebration Beyond Beer

Far more than a packaging redesign, the Wimbledon White Can represents Stella Artois‘ commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and premium experiences.

Speaking during the event, Melanie Nicholson, Head of Brand for Stella Artois South Africa, explained that the White Can celebrates more than tennis.

“We’re here to celebrate moments that are Worth More—moments defined by quality, craftsmanship and the people we share them with.”

Nicholson also revealed that lucky consumers who discover one of the rare White Cans in participating stores won’t simply enter a competition—they’ll receive a direct ticket to experience Wimbledon live, making the can one of the most sought-after collector’s items this season.

Kay Kay Ribane Brings “The Perfect Serve” to Life

One of the event’s biggest highlights was the unveiling of “The Perfect Serve,” an exclusive collector’s photography book by acclaimed South African creative Kay Kay Ribane.

The publication captures the elegance, movement and precision behind the tennis serve through a minimalist visual language inspired by the White Can itself.

Speaking to Urban Lifestyle, Ribane explained that today’s fast-paced digital world inspired him to create something tangible.

“We’re always searching for the perfect image and the perfect moment. This book allows people to slow down and hold something meaningful. It celebrates action, elegance and South African creativity while connecting us to a global sporting moment like Wimbledon.”

Ribane also revealed that seeing the White Can for the first time sparked the creative process.

“When I first saw the can, I immediately thought it deserved something artistic. The minimalist design reminded me of African architecture, and that became the inspiration behind creating a book that celebrates movement, heritage and craftsmanship.”

The celebrated photographer described the project as an invitation for audiences to appreciate beauty through simplicity rather than overstimulation.

Fashion Meets Wimbledon

Adding another layer to the collaboration was award-winning designer Keneilwe Mothoa, founder of Neimil, who created a bespoke Wimbledon-inspired tennis jacket exclusively for Stella Artois.

The elegant design blended tennis heritage with contemporary South African craftsmanship, perfectly complementing the White Can campaign.

Speaking to Urban Lifestyle, Mothoa shared that the project marked her second collaboration with Stella Artois.

“The inspiration came from the art of tennis itself. We wanted to create something calm, cool and collected that matched the elegance of the new Stella Artois White Can.”

Known for her timeless aesthetic, Mothoa also reflected on her creative journey.

“I actually studied interior design before moving into fashion. The transition was natural because both disciplines are about making people feel something. Fashion allows me to help people feel good about themselves.”

While the jackets remain exclusive to the campaign for now, Mothoa hinted that Stella Artois would reveal more details about future availability at a later stage.

An Afternoon of Culture and Creativity

Hosted by media personality Kuhle Adams, the event celebrated more than a product launch—it became a showcase of South Africa‘s thriving creative industry.

Opening the afternoon, Adams welcomed guests by describing the gathering as an invitation into a story built around heritage, craftsmanship and creativity.

He noted that the collaboration between Stella Artois and Kay Kay Ribane perfectly demonstrates how global traditions can be reinterpreted through a uniquely African perspective.

Following Melanie Nicholson‘s introduction, guests were invited to experience the Stella Artois Perfect Serve ritual, rooted in over six centuries of brewing heritage, before exploring Ribane’s striking photography exhibition.

The exhibition encouraged visitors to slow down, appreciate detail and witness how photography, poetry and storytelling could transform the ritual of tennis into contemporary art.

South Africa’s Creative Icons Gather

The stylish launch attracted an impressive guest list featuring influential names from fashion, music, photography and entertainment, including Langa Mavuso, Thapelo Mokoena, Manana, JR Bogopa, Lloyiso, Bucie, Thebe Magugu, Sindiso Nyoni, Trevor Stuurman and JR Ecko.

Their presence further reinforced Stella Artois‘ commitment to supporting local creatives while celebrating South African excellence on a global stage.

Urban Lifestyle’s Take

The Perfect Serve delivered exactly what its name promised.

Rather than focusing solely on the launch of a limited-edition can, Stella Artois created an experience where photography, fashion, storytelling and sport existed in perfect harmony. Every carefully curated detail reflected precision, elegance and craftsmanship—the very values shared by both Wimbledon and Stella Artois.

As Wimbledon season approaches, the limited-edition White Can stands as more than a collector’s item. It serves as a reminder that the finest experiences are created when creativity, culture and meaningful human connection come together.

For Urban Lifestyle, it was an afternoon that perfectly demonstrated why some moments are truly Worth More.
