Ilano 1

BBMzansi S6: Ilano Evicted, Top 10 Confirmed

Sunday 1 March marked another dramatic moment in the Bazozwa house as Ilano became the latest housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Mzansi Season 6. She was the only one out of the nine nominated housemates to leave, officially confirming this season’s Top 10.

Sunday Live Eviction Show

The live eviction show kicked off with high energy as Smash Afrika reminded viewers what’s at stake — a massive R2 million grand prize. He congratulated Ashay on securing the Week 7 Head of House (HoH) title and didn’t shy away from addressing house drama.

King Wanda was called out for gossiping, Liema for her letter-writing antics and The Don for previously stating he hated Que — a comment he clarified live on stage, insisting he hates no one in the house.

When Ilano was asked whether she felt appreciated for doing the housemates’ glam and hair, she admitted she felt seen — but the gratitude in this week’s letters did not quite hit the mark.

Her eviction visibly shook Que, who struggled to hold back tears as she exited the house. True to her signature energy, Ilano kept her final words short and memorable: “Umgadlazo, baby!”

Viewers can catch more of her reflections on Big Brother Mzansi: Beyond Umsindo this Thursday at 19:00.

Week 7: HoH Dreams & The Wager Twist

Week 7 was packed with ambition, tension and reality checks.

Liema openly expressed her frustration about narrowly missing out on the HoH crown multiple times. However, the housemates delivered where it counted — winning their wager task with a perfect 100%.

But celebration quickly turned into discipline mode.

Biggie deducted 50% of their winnings due to repeated rule breaks, including speaking in vernacular, sleeping in restricted areas and covering faces with hats and sunglasses. Ilano, Didi, Bravo B and Que admitted fault, forcing the house into an accountability session.

The message was clear: this is a competition, not a vacation.

Red Telephone: High-Stakes Chaos

The Red Telephone sponsor tasks brought both confusion and cash rewards:

  • King Wanda failed to convince the house about mysterious knocks — gym clothes duty followed.
  • Didi stirred tension by secretly hiding housemates’ belongings.
  • Thandeka redeemed herself by successfully completing a silent communication task, earning R500 in her Zakhaa Pay wallet.
  • Ilano’s fake health scare mission failed in dramatic fashion.
  • Mmeli successfully got housemates dancing the Macarena, securing R700 per participant.

The once-exciting Red Telephone has officially evolved into a high-stakes trap, with housemates now scrambling when it rings.

Fallouts, Fashion Shade & Boombox Bombshells

Drama intensified this week.

Liema and Thandeka’s fashion feud escalated after comments about outfit repetition and oversized fur jackets. Meanwhile, Bravo B and King Wanda’s tension deepened after an emotional exchange involving King Wanda’s child.

Mmeli accused Liema of stealing a banana during the Roberson’s Spice Challenge arena task, sparking more tension. Then came the Boombox bombshell — calling out housemates for “acting” and hinting that certain strategies have already been exposed.

When Biggie drops receipts, nobody is safe.

A Surprisingly Calm Saturday Night

After DJ Thakzin’s Saturday night party, emotions softened. Didi and Que unpacked their failed situationship in a mature conversation, while Thandeka reflected on her conflicts in the house.

Despite the chaos earlier in the week, moments of clarity and growth emerged.

Bazozwa Dance Challenge Takes Over Social Media

As part of the mid-season shake-up, the Bazozwa Dance Challenge has officially launched across social media.

Mzansi is invited to showcase their moves, post their videos and stand a chance to win an exclusive Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 Finale experience. The movement celebrates the Bazozwa energy — bold, expressive and unapologetic.

Follow #BBMzansiS6 and #BazozwaDanceChallenge to participate.

With the Top 10 now confirmed, the game has entered serious mode. Alliances are fragile, strategies are exposed and every move counts.

Catch the HoH Challenge at 18:00 and nominations at 20:00. Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 airs 24/7 on DStv Channel 198, with Sunday eviction shows broadcast on Mzansi Magic (Channel 161) and Mzansi Wethu (Channel 163).

The road to R2 million just got real.
