Kellogg’s South Africa has brought breakfast to life in bold and imaginative ways with the launch of the Power Breakfast Café, a vibrant multi-sensory pop-up experience currently taking place at Menlyn Mall in Pretoria from 11 to 14 December. Designed to reimagine the modern breakfast moment, the café transforms everyday morning meals into an inspiring celebration of flavour, creativity and energy.

The immersive café-style activation welcomed shoppers and locals into an elegant, sensory-led space filled with the comforting aromas of warm chocolate, fresh fruit and freshly brewed coffee. Guests were treated to visually striking breakfast creations and cereal-infused pastries, showcasing the versatility of the full Kellogg’s range while delighting the senses at every turn.

Kellogg’s partnered with The Workzone and Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp from Jacaranda FM, who hosted a live Outside Broadcast from 9am to 12pm directly from the Power Breakfast Café. The JAC Feel Good Squad joined the activation, sampling creative breakfast dishes and sharing the upbeat energy of the experience with listeners across the airwaves.

The café concept responds to growing trends within the South African breakfast market, where consumers are increasingly looking beyond convenience in favour of meals that are nutritious, versatile and exciting to prepare. Through interactive sensory zones and playful food experiences, the Power Breakfast Café highlighted how breakfast can fuel not only the body, but also creativity and everyday success.

Culinary expert Neo Nontso served as MC, guiding guests through the experience and its layered sensory touchpoints. A dynamic group of influencers and media personalities also took part, including Bheki Ndamase, George Mnguni, Sibu Mpanza and Gloria Ngcobo, who recently surpassed one million followers on TikTok. Guests designed their own Power Breakfast creations, sampled indulgent cereal-inspired treats and explored a calming ASMR sound zone designed to inspire focus and creativity.
“Breakfast continues to evolve as consumers prioritize creativity, versatility, and balance. People are far more explorative in how they build their meals, and our responsibility is to showcase just how innovative and high quality the Kellogg’s range truly is. The Power Breakfast Café demonstrated the beauty of our products: from nourishing options to indulgent treats and celebrated all the ways South Africans enjoy breakfast today. It captured the essence of possibility, play and good food made well.”
Speaking on the relevance of the activation, Tamsin Darroch, Marketing Director for Kellogg’s South Africa, said:
Kellogg’s fans and food lovers are invited to experience this one-of-a-kind sensory celebration, with the public café open from 12 to 14 December at Menlyn Mall—a fresh, playful and delicious reimagining of the breakfast moment.
