This November’s First Thursdays marked the exciting debut of Vault on Bree, a dynamic new space located at the corner of Bree and Castle Street. Designed as a home for Cape Town’s creative community, Vault on Bree invites artists, designers, brands, and innovators to connect, collaborate, and grow together.

Thoughtfully curated to foster conversation, creativity, and collaboration, the venue offers more than just a physical space — it serves as a cultural platform for shared expression and community building.

At the heart of the experience lies a listening bar, created in partnership with Phil Kramer, the sound designer behind the acclaimed system at One Park. Listening bars are intimate, sound-focused environments that encourage guests to engage with music in a more meaningful and intentional way, celebrating the art of listening.

Kicking off the creative journey, G-Star RAW became the first brand to activate within Vault on Bree. The brand’s two-month denim installation showcases its dedication to craftsmanship, innovation, and street culture. The launch event brought together some of the city’s most influential creative voices — including Wanda Lephoto, who delivered a storytelling-driven DJ set, alongside special guests Lukhanyo Mdingi and Molife of GQ.

Vault on Bree is envisioned as a living, evolving space, set to host a range of exhibitions, activations, and collaborations that reflect Cape Town’s ever-evolving creative energy.
