On 07 September 2025, Urban Lifestyle pulled up to Kyalami Shisanyama for The Hip Hop Floor, an event curated by DJ Speedsta that reminded everyone why South African Hip Hop is still a powerful movement. The venue was packed with real Hip Hop heads, and the energy from start to finish proved that the culture is alive, thriving, and far from fading out.

The lineup was stacked with some of Mzansi’s most respected DJs and performers, including Naked DJ, DJ Hudson, Don Design, DJ Speedsta, Fiflaa, DJ Sliqe B2B Lesedi the DJ, Emtee, UnclePartyTime, DJ Milkshake, K.O, Ms Cosmo, and Small Babes B2B Bina Binnz. From DJ sets to live performances, the vibe was nothing short of electric.
“@kyalami_shisanyama you showed up and showed out! From start to finish, the energy was fire 🔥— you made this one for the books. 🖤 Shoutout to the DJs, performers, and everyone who pulled through to celebrate the culture with us. This is what Hip Hop is all about. 🚀 Till next time… we outside!”

This expansion shows just how much The Hip Hop Floor is pushing boundaries and giving Hip Hop culture the stage it deserves—both in South Africa and across the continent.

Why The Hip Hop Floor Matters
For up-and-coming rappers and DJs, The Hip Hop Floor isn’t just an event—it’s an opportunity. It’s the space where artists, DJs, and industry players connect, where new names can get heard, and where the future of SA Hip Hop is being shaped.

Artists like Blondzz, Vlokdegie, and Sly Kibbs, who have all been featured on Urban Lifestyle, know that attending these events opens doors to collaborations and exposure. At the last event, Sly Kibbs and others had the chance to meet and build with heavyweights like Priddy Ugly and K.O, moments that can change careers.

The Culture is Alive
Urban Lifestyle enjoyed being part of this event and connecting with both established and rising artists on a deeper level. To DJ Speedsta and the team—keep pushing. Events like The Hip Hop Floor prove that South African Hip Hop isn’t going anywhere. The culture is alive, the music is timeless, and the future looks bigger than ever.
