Wah Wah 45s proudly unveils Shikor Shikor (Jamz Supernova & Sam Interface Remix), the first in a highly anticipated series of reinterpretations from Echoes Of Resistance, the critically acclaimed sophomore album by Afro-electronic duo Raz & Afla. This electrifying remix drops Friday, 27 June 2025, and sets the tone for the forthcoming Remixes Of Resistance project, out on 1 August 2025.
Originally an uplifting, percussive tribute to femininity and the female form, Shikor Shikor showcased the duo’s seamless fusion of Afrobeat grooves and electronic textures. The remix by BBC 6 Music DJ Jamz Supernova and Sam Interface—known for their vibrant work with Mr Bongo and Tru Thoughts—transforms the track into a gritty, bass-driven club banger. Jamz explains:
“We came at it with our love of UK club music. We wanted to rough it up and contrast the fun lyrics with a gritty bassline. I love watching how it’s received on the dancefloor and can’t wait to see how it spreads this summer.”
