PUMA’s rebellious spirit is back in the spotlight with the return of the Mostro — and this time, the heat comes courtesy of Amelia Gray and Maglera. The duo front the latest PUMA campaign, fusing fashion and edge in a nighttime narrative that brings the bold sneaker to life.

Originally launched in 1999 and named after the Italian word for “monster,” the Mostro is not just a shoe — it’s a movement. With its signature spiked sole, low-profile silhouette, and utilitarian strap closure, the Mostro takes inspiration from both 1960s track spikes and 1980s surf shoes, merging retro roots with modern swagger.

In this latest campaign, model and tastemaker Amelia Gray leads a visual story that captures the raw energy of the night. Her trend-setting style and bold confidence reflect the Mostro’s disruptive DNA, as she moves through neon-lit streets and intimate party scenes. Alongside her, Maglera, one of South Africa’s most dynamic voices in music and style, fronts the local campaign, injecting a distinctly African attitude into the mix.
