Brand-New Crime Thriller Parish Set to Premiere on Universal TV on 27 March

Universal TV (DStv 117) has officially announced the territory premiere of Parish, a gripping six-episode crime thriller that is set to captivate audiences across Africa. Starring Emmy® and SAG® Award-nominee and Critics Choice® Award-winner Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian), the action-packed series will debut on Thursday, 27 March, at 8 PM with an electrifying back-to-back episode premiere. New episodes will air every Thursday, leading up to the season finale on 24 April.

A High-Stakes Story of Revenge and Redemption

In Parish, Giancarlo Esposito takes on the lead role of Gracian “Gray” Parish, a dedicated family man and owner of a luxury car service in New Orleans. However, his world is shattered when his son is brutally murdered, triggering a devastating collapse of his business. Forced to confront his past as a former getaway driver, Parish reconnects with an old friend, leading him down a perilous path entangled with a powerful criminal syndicate.

Inspired by the Acclaimed U.K. Series The Driver

Parish is an adaptation of the hit U.K. series The Driver, created by Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser. The U.S. version is produced by AMC Studios in collaboration with A+E Studios and Thruline Entertainment. Showrunners Eduardo Javier Canto and Ryan Maldonado helm the project, with Giancarlo Esposito also serving as an executive producer. Other executive producers include Brocklehurst, Poyser, Theo Travers, Jolyon Symonds, David Morrissey, Josh Kesselman, Danny Sherman, Barry Jossen, and Tana Jamieson.
