FEATHER AWARDS XVI: CELEBRATING INCLUSIVITY WITH A BORDERLESS EXISTENCE
The Feather Awards are back, and this year, they are embracing the empowering theme of ‘Borderless Existence.’ While the glitz and glamour are ever-present, Feather Awards XVI promises to take things a step further by celebrating the vibrant LGBTQIA+ community, as well as extending recognition to diverse minority groups, including differently-abled individuals.
On Thursday, 7th November 2024, the Feather Awards will return to the stylish 1 Fox in Johannesburg. This year’s event will be a night of unforgettable recognition, celebration, and colorful unity, shining a spotlight on those who have made significant contributions to society.
“We focus on inclusivity, reminding ourselves that our community thrives when all voices are heard and celebrated. We are committed to pushing boundaries and creating spaces where everyone can thrive. In honoring our nominees, we honor the strength of every individual—regardless of ability, background, or identity—who has contributed to the rich, diverse landscape of our society.”
said Thami Kotlolo, co-founder of the Feather Awards
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by the dynamic trio of Dineo Langa, Khaya Dladla, and Andiswa Gebashe, adding their unique flair to what promises to be an incredible evening.
