13 December 2025 @ 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
The rhythm of the Vaal is calling once again as Vaal River Fest IV returns on Saturday, 13 December 2025, at 136 River Rd, Vanderbijlpark. Presented by Windhoek SA, this year’s edition — themed “The Sound Journey” — invites music lovers to reconnect with the heartbeat of a nation through a celebration of sound, culture, and freedom.
Vaal River Fest has become more than just a summer gathering — it’s a movement, a cultural homage to Mzansi, and a celebration of resilience. The event reflects how music continues to unite generations, bridging South Africa’s past struggles, present realities, and future possibilities.
Headlining the 2025 lineup is none other than Oskido, the Godfather of South African music. With over three decades of influence across genres like Kwaito, Afro-house, and Amapiano, Oskido stands as a true icon — a pioneer, mentor, and visionary who continues to inspire artists and fans alike.
Joining him on the decks is Russell Zuma, whose deep house and electronic soundscapes capture the soul of modern South Africa. From Durban’s energetic house music roots to the open skies of the Vaal, Zuma’s performance promises to be a heartfelt journey through rhythm and emotion.
Completing this powerhouse trio is Sol Phenduka, the multi-talented DJ, storyteller, and radio personality. Known for his creativity and authenticity, Sol brings a dynamic energy that ensures every moment resonates with pure musical expression.
Now in its fourth edition, Vaal River Fest continues to symbolize the strength and spirit of a people who fought for freedom, using music as the language of unity and evolution. Expect live performances, drumming sessions, Amapiano anthems, and a vibrant atmosphere that captures the true essence of South African summer.
As the festival’s slogan declares:
“We welcome you back to the rhythm that mirrors the heartbeat of a nation that continues to evolve.”
With an unbeatable lineup and a purpose rooted in culture and connection, Vaal River Fest IV is set to be the ultimate summer celebration.
