Sunbet Padel Invitational Heads to Durban for Star-Studded Second Edition
The Sunbet Padel Invitational is set to make history this July as the popular celebrity padel event arrives in Durban for the very first time. Taking place on 10 and 11 July 2026 at Sun Padel Sibaya, the second edition promises two action-packed days of world-class padel, celebrity appearances and unforgettable entertainment.
Running daily from 08:00 to 17:00, the tournament continues to celebrate the rapid growth of padel in South Africa while bringing together sporting legends, entertainers and fans in a unique festival atmosphere.
Celebrity Line-up Packed with South African Stars
This year’s Sunbet Padel Invitational boasts an impressive line-up of South African personalities from the worlds of sport, television and entertainment. Fans can expect to see Siv Ngesi, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Shaun Bartlett, Ashwell Prince, Stefan Terblanche, Nono Pongolo, Rupert Kaminski, Darren Keet, Roxy Burger, Stanton Fredericks, Bongani Khumalo, Mark Fish, Claudia Henkel, Wynand Olivier, Arno Jordaan, Chad Jones, Tristan Moses, Tansey Coetzee and Sed Pillay competing on court.
The celebrity tournament offers spectators the rare opportunity to watch their favourite personalities showcase their competitive spirit while embracing one of South Africa‘s fastest-growing sports.
Durban Hosts the Event for the First Time
Following the success of last year’s inaugural tournament, organisers are excited to introduce the event to KwaZulu-Natal.
Founder Kriya Gangiah said bringing the Sunbet Padel Invitational to Durban marks an important milestone.
