✨ ONCE UPON A TIME IN JOBURG RETURNS DECEMBER 7TH WITH DVSN, JAZ KARIS & MORE 🌙
7 December 2025 @ 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The story continues this summer as Once Upon A Time In Joburg returns on December 7th, 2025, bringing another chapter of authentic R&B and soul to the heart of Johannesburg.
An event series for true lovers of the genre, Once Upon A Time In Joburg celebrates the criminally underrated, the overlooked, and the deeply soulful. Brought to life by Doctor Bird Productions, the series continues its mission — creating a space where fans can experience the artists they never thought they’d see live.
This time, the headline act is one that fans have been dreaming about — DVSN, the Canadian R&B duo whose emotionally charged vocals and sultry production have soundtracked heartbreaks, late nights, and intimate moments across the world. With hits like “Hallucinations” and “Look What You Made Me Do,” DVSN’s live performance promises to be nothing short of breathtaking.
Joining them is the soulful and globally adored Jaz Karis, whose powerful voice and heartfelt storytelling have made her a defining figure in the UK’s soul scene. Following her viral COLORS performance of “Petty Lover” and over 240 million global streams, Jaz returns after a sold-out 2025 world tour, bringing songs from her latest EP “Loud In The Water.”
Adding a touch of local magic, Filah Lah Lah graces the stage with her timeless voice and lyrical vulnerability. Her performances are more than just sets — they’re experiences that linger long after the final note.
Una Rams, one of South Africa’s most exciting R&B visionaries, will also join the lineup. Known for seamlessly blending emotion, groove, and spirituality in songs like “Shy” and “Good Intentions,” Una’s sound represents the new era of contemporary African soul.
And completing this soulful ensemble is Langa Mavuso — a true storyteller of the heart. From “Sunday Blues” to “Pretend,” Langa’s music captures love, longing, and tenderness in its purest form, carried by vocals that are both powerful and intimate.
Each artist brings a unique chapter to this story — a celebration of R&B in its rawest, most beautiful form.
As the night unfolds under Johannesburg’s warm December sky, Once Upon A Time In Joburg will once again prove why it’s one of the most anticipated events on the city’s music calendar.
Because here, every song tells a story — and the story just keeps getting sweeter.
