H&M Ignites A/W in Style with Sandton Rooftop Party Featuring Zee Nxumalo and DBN Gogo
Fashion met music in spectacular style as H&M South Africa unveiled its highly anticipated A/W26 collection with an electrifying rooftop celebration at Sandton City in Johannesburg. Held on 21 March, the A/W Sound Lounge delivered a high-energy, immersive experience that fused trend-forward fashion with the pulse of local music culture.

Set against the glittering Sandton skyline, the event transformed the rooftop into a vibrant playground of style and sound. Headlining the night were chart-topping talents Zee Nxumalo and DBN Gogo, who brought undeniable energy to the stage. They were joined by a dynamic DJ lineup including Pona & NKLY, Lelowhatsgood, MCHLSN and Deniece Marz, keeping the crowd moving throughout the night.

Beyond the music, guests were invited to engage with a curated series of interactive experiences. From the H&M Beauty nail bar to customisation stations and Instagram-worthy photo moments, every touchpoint was designed to celebrate individuality and self-expression. Notable attendees such as Nomalanga Shozi, LordKez and Money Badoo showcased bold looks inspired by the new collection.

In a move that reinforced H&M’s commitment to inclusivity, the A/W Sound Lounge opened its doors to customers through a competition linked to H&M Fashion News sign-ups. Earlier in the day, fans also had the opportunity to attend exclusive meet-and-greet sessions with Zee Nxumalo and DBN Gogo at the Sandton City store.
“Being part of this moment with H&M feels really special. Fashion and music go hand in hand for me, so it’s great to work with a brand that celebrates individuality and self-expression,”.

The A/W26 collection itself draws inspiration from the glamour of the 1970s, blended with the rebellious spirit of the 1990s. The first drop pays homage to late-90s Britain’s cultural revolution—an era where creatives and style icons redefined fashion through bold experimentation. With versatile pieces that mix prints, textures, and layered silhouettes, the collection encourages wearers to push boundaries and embrace their unique style.

The first chapter of H&M’s A/W26 collection is now available in stores nationwide and online via Superbalist, giving fashion lovers across South Africa access to the latest seasonal trends.
